Meetings

Are you ICF OREGON GOLD level member?  If not, you should upgrade especially in April at the New Year renewal; you save an enormous amount of money on General Meetings, International Coach Week and the Lunch and learn meetings.  As a Gold level member you get in FREE for all extra education events. Gold, it is an amazing benefit. 


ICF OREGON has General, in person, meetings at the Doubletree Hotel 1000 NE Multnomah, Portland, OR every other month of the year.  January, March, May, July, September, and November.  See the calendar on ICF Oregon for signing up.  These GENERAL MEETINGS are also available via Virtual ZOOM, meaning you can attend them from the comfort of your home or office via computer or mobile App on your phone.  ZOOM is free and you can download it onto any of your devices. 


Every other month that we do not have the general in person meeting, we will have LUNCH AND LEARN MEETINGS for you VIA ZOOM ONLY, from 12 – 1:30 every February, April, June, and October!  See them on the Calendar of yearly events.  It is an amazing way to gain RESOURCE CREDITS to apply to your ICF GLOBAL recertification every three (3) years.  If you come to ALL of the Lunch and Learns and ALL of the GENERAL MEETINGS in person or via ZOOM, you will earn CCEU credits to renew your credentials.  It is an amazing educational bonus.

    Improvisation For Coaches


    Like all humans, we coaches are creatures of habit, subject to our own filters, learning, egos, and blind spots. How can coaching professionals—from the newest to the most seasoned—step out of our default patterns and comfort zones to truly dance in the moment? 


    In this highly experiential workshop, coaches will learn the basic rules and skills of improvisation, developing core competencies in an entirely new way. By letting go of control and engaging in true collaboration, coaches will experience greater freedom, creativity, listening, presence, power, and willingness to take risks and go deeper into the unknown. Coaches will walk away with enhanced skills, a greater awareness of their personal blind spots and growth opportunities, and a toolkit of exercises to use for their own continued development and with clients.

    • Increase Coaching Presence and Active Listening competencies and confidence
    • Discover personal “blind spots” or growth opportunities within those competencies
    • Practice with and retain a toolkit that can be used for continued development and for direct use with clients

    Carrie Spaulding is a Professional Certified Coach credentialed by the International Coach Federation and a professional improviser with 17 years of experience performing, teaching, and directing improvisation professionally. With her dynamic and engaging spirit, Carrie facilitates powerful group trainings and events.     Coaching Innate Nature vs. Personality:  What’s the Difference and Why Does it Matter?
