    Improvisation For Coaches

Like all humans, we coaches are creatures of habit, subject to our own filters, learning, egos, and blind spots. How can coaching professionals—from the newest to the most seasoned—step out of our default patterns and comfort zones to truly dance in the moment?

In this highly experiential workshop, coaches will learn the basic rules and skills of improvisation, developing core competencies in an entirely new way. By letting go of control and engaging in true collaboration, coaches will experience greater freedom, creativity, listening, presence, power, and willingness to take risks and go deeper into the unknown. Coaches will walk away with enhanced skills, a greater awareness of their personal blind spots and growth opportunities, and a toolkit of exercises to use for their own continued development and with clients.

    • Increase Coaching Presence and Active Listening competencies and confidence
    • Discover personal “blind spots” or growth opportunities within those competencies
    • Practice with and retain a toolkit that can be used for continued development and for direct use with clients

Carrie Spaulding is a Professional Certified Coach credentialed by the International Coach Federation and a professional improviser with 17 years of experience performing, teaching, and directing improvisation professionally. With her dynamic and engaging spirit, Carrie facilitates powerful group trainings and events. Workshops come alive as Carrie, a former educator, helps organizations, teams, and individuals achieve their professional and personal goals with her creative, experiential, and outside-the-box approach. Carrie leads seminars with warmth, passion, and humor, and leaves participants armed with improved skills, new tools and strategies, and a feeling that professional development was never this much fun!

In her private coaching, Carrie specializes in helping thirty-somethings break through Thirtysomething Panic and create the careers, relationships, and lives they want. Coaching Innate Nature vs. Personality:  What’s the Difference and Why Does it Matter?

    Presented by Lynn E. Taylor

Lynn E. Taylor is the creator of The Core Values Index™ (CVI), a human nature assessment using strategic values in a word-choice format. It reveals the innate nature of a person and their core motivational drivers.

As a coaching tool, The CVI™ delivers a values-based human nature profile. With it, we see how a person views the world from their unique perspective, their core motivational drivers, and how they will respond to life’s challenges with predictable strategies and tactics. Using the CVI, a coach helps clients discover who they are and how to consciously direct life choices by their deepest innate core value.

Doing so causes people to live the life they are called to live, do the work they are naturally wired to do, and contribute their deepest core value energy to the world, thereby flourishing as a human being.

Participants will be provided a free, comprehensive CVI ($50 value) and specific insight into how to interpret the results. From this session, you will learn:

    • How the CVI is different from "all the other assessments"
    • To use the CVI to improve your coaching and help clients
    • Help companies hire better and improve job satisfaction

1.5 CCEUs applied for. Core Competencies focused on in this session:

    • Establish Trust and Intimacy with your Clients
    • Improve your ability to communicate effectively during coaching sessions, and to use language that has the greatest positive impact on the client
    • Create opportunities for ongoing client learning, and for taking new actions that will most effectively lead to agreed-upon coaching results

    About Lynn E. Taylor
